Boucherie
Located in the West Village, Boucherie comprises of 3,000sf of restaurant space with an additional 1,000sf cellar. French restaurants fueled the inspiration of the interior and exterior designs. Originally a mechanical garage, and then cabaret, this restaurant features soaring ceiling heights, lengthy sculptural bar, massive copper hood over the grill and various seating spaces for all group sizes. In addition, Parisienne banquet seating is featured on the elevated mezzanine platform.
Designing the 3 large double entrance doors and the entire bar area presented a challenge. Those spaces needed functionality and a French retro design while maintaining a sense of minimalism. Continuous communication and a close collaboration with the owner on every single detail, as well as extensive Art Nouveau design research, captivated the desired visual result.
