Located on the North Shore of Long Island, this home is receiving a full exterior and partial interior renovation all while using a combination of natural materials found within the village of Stone Hill.  This private two story home includes 4,600sf, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and soon an 8 ft x 16 ft curtain wall to have a panoramic view from the living room to the backyard.  The floor to ceiling glass provides maximum daylight exposure in the lounge, for a perfect entertaining space, while the added covered glass breezeway adds aesthetic drama and elemental functionality. 

Largest Overcome Challenge : Two challenges were presented.  In order to achieve the modern style for this house, elevations required remodeling.  As this home is located in the Village of Stone Hill, designs had to be approved by the Home Owner's Association as well.  Visiting the area, researching the surroundings, and maintaining open and honest communication with the HOA board allowed NODE to present benefits of redesign while maintaining an acceptable aesthetic for the entire neighborhood.
