New Hyde Park

This home is nestled in the Village of New Hyde Park neighborhood just East of New York City with quick access to the LIRR and Jericho Turnpike.  The famous Belmont Park in the Southwest brings horse races to the area each Spring and Fall.  As a commuter town, over 75% of the space is residential and hosts a great suburban feel.

Most of the surrounding homes have a uniform aesthetic.  We had to obtain architectural review board approval for the exterior aesthetic which provided an extreme challenge.  Our persistence paid off and we were able to deliver the requests of our client.  Like most of our designs, we are highly focused on Passive House principles. This was implemented both with the exterior and interior while not sacrificing the contemporary design.

As a custom design build, the home contains 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths just under 2,760sf.  This particular home over performs the baseline energy code compliance by using continuous ventilation and filtration systems, Energy Recovery Ventilation system.  Because of the attention to Passive House details, including the triple glazed windows, the indoor air quality is superior.  There was no compromise on design with Hans Grohe fixtures used throughout the home’s bathrooms accompanied by TOTO toilets and Italian Carrara Marble.  Resilient to damage, European White Oak hardwood floors continue through the remaining living spaces, while quartz counter tops finish off the kitchen’s bright aesthetic.
